Grade 4 - 5 MATH Summer Enrichment-Long Division, Fractions, Decimals, More

Welcome!!  This is a 8 week Multi-Day summer course that will cover the key concepts in the 4th grade math curriculum according to the common core state standards.  This class is perfect for students in grades 4 to prepare them for the new school year. Whether your learner is preparing for 4th grade or reviewing before 5th, this engaging summer course will ensure they start the school year strong, confident, and ready for success! This 8-week course focuses on reinforcing essential 4th-5th grade math skills through interactive lessons, collaborative practice, and a structured approach to keep students sharp and ready for the next grade.

Experienced Teacher: State-certified educator with nearly 20 years of teaching experience.   I'm an energetic and engaging teacher, who is detailed oriented with a passion for teaching math. My goal is to heighten student understanding of key concepts, reinforce skills, and bridge any gaps in their knowledge. I can help your child gain confidence, maintain understanding, and progress to start the new year on a stronger footing.

Engaging Lessons

Each week engaging lessons, interactive activities, and additional resources will be provided to students. These resources are a great way to fill in any gaps of understanding that may be preventing the learner from moving forward. 

Additional Practice Problems:
Additional practice worksheets will be provided weekly.  The teacher will provide feedback on these optional assignments.

**MAKE UP SESSIONS AVAILABLE IF NOT ABLE TO ATTEND SOME CLASSES!! (Message for details) 

I expect each student to come to class with a pencil & notebook, whiteboard & markers, and to be ready to take notes and participate.  I also expect students to give a good attempt on the worksheets that are given out each class, to give them more practice with the concepts taught and to allow me to check for understanding.  During most classes we won’t use a calculator, unless the learner requires accommodations.
