수업 소개

Beginning with story time, I will read "The Magic School Bus Gets Eaten: A Book About Food Chains" by Scholastic Productions. Then with a video clip from Odyssey Earth, we will examine the science of habitats and food chains. We will discuss what a food chain is and why is it important to a habitat. The students will then create their own food chains. PDFs will be provided before class. Finally, I will provide some enrichment activities for after class to continue the study of food chains with Generation Genius. This class is a great introduction into habitats and food chains, or a good review, for anyone who needs it.

Post class enrichment activity of Generation Genius is not required for this class, though it will enhance the interactive learning of food chains. Scissors will be used during this activity.

Hello from Texas! Although I am currently residing in Texas, we move quite often and that has allowed me to have many different types of career experiences. I have tutored privately and through well-known organizations; taught in the public school classroom setting with a self-contained classroom (including 4th grade and Texas History); substituted and interned in private school classroom settings; instructed at the community college level (History); assisted with museum operations; and homeschooled my three munchkins. I have worked with early education all the way up to the community college level. My Bachelors is in childhood education with a Master's in American History.
