In this one-time class, students will learn various chair yoga positions in a relaxing environment. We will begin with stretching to warm up. Then we will begin our chair yoga poses. The chair yoga poses will include stretching and balancing to help improve the students' flexibility over time. I have been practicing yoga since I was a teenager. Later, I decided to become a 200-HR certified yoga instructor. I am a fitness enthusiast. I encourage my six children to stay active as well. I work out in my free time. I love to hula hoop and do yoga. In addition, I am a dancer. I have homeschooled for 20 years and coordinated fitness classes in an educational co-op. At least 4 days a week, I go walking with my younger sons. Staying active is very important to me.

It is recommended that students have an open space to practice with no slippery surface. Please had a sturdy, non-rolling chair with a back on it. In addition, please wear comfortable clothing. Students need to be able to move around with little or no objects near them. There is a risk of injury with yoga.
