Learners will be able to identify and explain concepts and ideas related to entrepreneurship (example: customers, supply and demand, expenses, profit, etc.) and put these concepts into practice by creating a lemonade stand or similar business venture.

I am a social studies educator with a passion for personal finance. I am certified to teach economics, and have a strong knowledge in debt reduction strategies, budgeting and saving. I am also an entrepreneur and currently own an educational consulting business. Over the past few years I have educated myself on the principles of Financial Independence and our family is now debt free! I wish someone had shared more financial tips with me when I was younger and I am excited about sharing what I have learned with you!

At the end of each class, learners will be given task(s) to complete which will build up to the creation of their lemonade stand. All weekly tasks relate directly to the creation of the lemonade stand- no busy work! Learners and families can also modify these assignments as needed to meet their own needs and goals as they create their business. The amount of time needed to complete each task will vary depending on the learner's ideas but expect to spend about an hour per week working on tasks related to the creation of the final product- the lemonade stand!
