このクラスでは、高校の幾何学のカリキュラム全体をカバーします。夏期講習では、新学期に向けて生徒を準備するための夏期講習をカバーします。9 月から 5 月まで、コース モジュールの全セットが教えられます。トピックには、円の面積、球、楕円、内接外接、弦、円弧、割線、接線、定理 (垂直接線、垂直直径、同和弦、同和接線、内接角、接弦、外接、弦の積、割線、割線、接線、弦によって形成される非中心角、接線と割線によって形成される外角) が含まれます。各モジュールは、ローテーション スケジュールで独立して教えられるため、学習者は迷うことなくいつでも参加でき、コース全体を学習できます。

With each weekly session, I will walk students through needed skills for Analytical Geometry-- with topics that cover everything needed for Analytic Geometry full course from rigid transformations, to triangles, to. With each topic, I will first walk through the steps needed to do the work, and then we will work through problems progressing from the easiest to the most difficult. Sessions are highly interactive, as I take time to ensure mastery and understanding along the way. 

Every problem that learners get stuck on is met with optimism and encouragement. These are opportunities for everyone to learn.  

Topics will be covered on the following schedule...  I teach each unit independently so that if your student is just jumping into geometry, they won't be lost.  Learners can rotate through all 26 weeks and use this for course credit in a homeschooling program. If you need certification of completion from a teacher, I'm happy to help for families who have completed the work!

Summer 2023 schedule

Week	2	:	Transformations in the Coordinate Plane - Rotations and Dilations
Week	3-4	:	Circle Theorems
Week	5-6	:	Proofs and Theorems
Week	7	:	Defining Geometric Terms
Week	8	:	Midpoint and Distance
Week	9-10:	Parallel and Perpendicular Angles
Week	11-12:	Triangle Congruence

Note that the Thursday 11AM session continues to meet under the old format of 40 minutes once per week because these students have been on the same schedule since spring of 2021.  All other sections will be twice a week for 25 minutes per week.

4 | SOH-CAH-TOA Basic Trigonometry - SOH CAH TOA; sine, cosine, tangent, Inverse Trigonometry functions, finding the angles, Solving right triangles, Trig short cuts - triples and complementary angles, Applications in trigonometry- word problems, Reciprocal Trig Functions

5 | Circle Theorem - Area of Circle, Sphere and Ellipse, Inscribed Circumscribed, Chords, Arcs, Secants, Tangents, Theorems: (Perpendicular Tangent, Perpendicular Diameter, Congruent Chord, Congruent Tangent Segments, Inscribed Angle, Tangent Chord, Exterior Intersection, Chord Product, Secant Secant, Secant Tangent , Non-Central Angles formed by Chords, Exterior Angle formed by Tangents & Secants)

It's a tutoring session. The parents and student determine the content within the constraints of Geometry.
受講に必要なもの
Learners should have a graphing calculator (TI-84 or similar), a compass, and a protractor.  It's a good idea to always have pencil and paper when taking a math class. Most learners assume it, but as a parent, perhaps remind them because I notice that many times students are having to run in the other room to look for tools to write with and paper to write on.  The compass is good to have on hand because I insert into the teaching lots of points where we pull out the compass and draw what we are talking about.  Students really enjoy this but it only works if the compass is right there for them to use.
