COURSE OVERVIEW:
This course is a continuation of the "German Adventures for Little Learners! Beginner Class - Course 1," designed for young learners in grades K-2 who have completed the beginner level. The course will build on foundational German language skills focusing each week on a specific theme to deepen vocabulary and understanding. Emphasis will be placed on interactive learning through games, hands-on activities, and simple dialogues. Additionally, students will practice using numbers in context through simple math exercises.

PREREQUISITES: 
It is highly recommended that students complete "German Adventures for Little Learners! Beginner Class - Course 1" before enrolling in this course. While reading in German is not required, students should have a basic understanding of German vocabulary and be able to match pictures with the corresponding German words. This foundational knowledge will ensure a smoother transition and a more enriching experience as they continue their language knowledge.

In "German Adventures for Little Learners! Next Steps - Course 2," we will revisit themes introduced in Course 1, focusing more on vocabulary expansion and practical usage in context. Each week, students will engage in interactive activities reinforcing their understanding and application of the language.

 Vocabulary: Family members, household items.
Activities: Family tree creation, Memory/Matching games with family member cards.
Dialogue Practice: Introducing family members.
Math: Counting family members and household items.

 Vocabulary: School subjects, classroom objects.
Activities: School scavenger hunt, Matching games with school items.
Dialogue Practice: Talking about favorite subjects and school routines.

Pre-Requisites
Recommended to take German Adventures for Little Learners! Beginner Class - Course 1. Otherwise, a strong understanding of German basic vocabulary is suggested.
Supply List
It would be great to bring a notebook, pencil, and crayons. Some weeks there might be activity sheets that need to be printed. (These sheets will be posted well in advance).
