This ongoing class is designed for K-2 students with a strong German foundation ready to elevate their language skills through dynamic, real-world conversations. Students should have a solid foundation in German with significant prior language exposure. LEARNING APPROACH: My curriculum is intentionally flexible. While I've prepared potential topics, the true magic happens by following student interests and group dynamics. Learning Goals
Conversational Skills: Students will engage in basic conversations about everyday topics, such as going to the swimming pool, shopping for groceries, and ordering food at a restaurant.
Vocabulary Acquisition: Students will expand their German vocabulary by learning new words and phrases related to various themes, including travel, community helpers, and ticketed venues.

Supply List
It would be great to bring a notebook, pencil, and crayons. Some weeks there might be activity sheets that need to be printed. (These sheets will be posted well in advance).

I'm a certified elementary school teacher with an endorsement in German. I'm a native Swiss-German speaker (which means that I also speak "high" German). To keep engagement high, I will primarily speak German during this class. I've taught at the elementary school level for 20 years. I have also taught English as a Foreign Language for two years in a small town school in Switzerland.
