Nivel Beginner
🎨 Bring your learner's artwork to the next level by diving into the world of texture...and plants!
This course is ideal for 3rd-7th graders.

🌾 We'll dive deep into the traditional element of texture, and then mix it with the parts of a plant--leaves, stems, and roots!

🌻 In this mini nature art course, your learner will learn all about plants through art. Using easy-to-access materials, learners create drawings and projects that reflect the plant-topic of the week.

{Class Schedule}
Week 1: Two videos/projects teaching your child about the element of texture, how to spot it, and how to draw with it.
Week 2: Two videos/projects discovering the parts of plants all around us in nature--while also learning to sketch with basic textures.
Week 3: Scavenger hunt video where your child can go outside (or visit a local grocery store if it's too cold out) and gather parts of a plant for the final project. The 2nd video combines everything your student has learned into one final project.

{How it works}
In this class, you get 2 video art lessons per week. That totals to 5 ART VIDEO LESSONS and 1 NATURE SCAVENGER HUNT!
I've set up this mini-course to be done within 3 weeks. However, there is SO much content in here that it could easily be spread out into 1-2 months.

{Extra info}
-Younger kids (6-8) are allowed to take this class. However, if your learner does not have a strong drawing hand yet, I would encourage you to be ready to assist or to pair them with an older sibling.
-Optional: You can place all the finished drawings and projects into a 3-ring binder (I did!). They're all vertical so it works nicely. This also creates a great resource for future reference.

Want more? This is a full nature art course that can be sped-up to fit one semester, or stretched to fit a full year of art.
