Welcome to third and fourth grade science! *Semesters do not have to be taken in order*

In this class, you will find that we are always exploring new topics, creating activities and experiments to help us better understand what we've learned, and anwering lots of questions that students develop along the way! Class will start with a short, interactive presentation followed by an activity or experiment. Each week I will post the supplies in the classroom. I always do my best to help students substitute if they can't find the items needed. After class, I will post an optional post-activity that may include videos, worksheets, or another hands-on activity or experiment.

Week one: Sound waves - Introduction to different sound waves and sounds in different settings 
Week two: Sound waves - Continue experiments with sound waves 
Week three: Sound waves and seismology- Make a seismograph
Week four: Light waves - Light beams in water
Week five: Light waves - Light waves through substances 
Week six: Energy transfer - Moving objects 
Week seven: Energy transfer - S'more energy
Week eight: Introduction to renewable resources- Game
Week nine: Non-renewable resources- Oil company activity/game
Week ten: Using a renewnable energy- DIY solar ovens
