In this 8-week physics course for middle school students, your student will explore the exciting world of motion, energy, waves, sound, light, electricity, and magnetism. Through discussion and demonstration, you'll develop a solid foundation in physics and discover how it relates to the world around you. Join us for an engaging and fun learning experience! 1: Introduction to Physics What is physics? Basic concepts and terms in physics (motion, force, energy, etc.) The scientific method and experimental design. 2: Motion and Forces Newton's Laws of Motion Gravitational Force Friction and Air Resistance 3: Energy Forms of Energy (kinetic, potential, thermal, etc.) Conservation of Energy Energy Transformations 4: Waves Properties of Waves (frequency, wavelength, amplitude, etc.) Types of Waves (sound, light, electromagnetic) Wave Interference and Resonance 5: Sound Sound Waves and Their Properties How We Hear Sounds Applications of Sound (music, communication, etc.) 6: Electricity and Magnetism Electric Charge and Electric fields Current and Circuits Magnetism and Electromagnetism 7: Light Properties of Light Waves (reflection, refraction, diffraction, etc.) How We See Light Applications of Light (optics, photography, etc.) 8: Careers in Physics Discussion of Careers in Physics New Discoveries and Experiments Importance of Studying Physics for the Future

Develop an understanding of the fundamental concepts of motion, force, energy, and waves, and be able to apply these concepts to real-world situations.
