This class is dynamic, fast-paced, and gives your learner a chance to shine! With a maximum of six students per class, each learner will get a chance to play, perform, and receive individualized in-the-moment teacher feedback. This 50-minute class will combine vocabulary and theory with hands-on application of concepts through fun improv games! Students will learn the basic principles of improvisational theatre: what it is, why it is important to actors, and the most important rules to forming a successful scene. Content will be taught through a combination of highly interactive games that build student confidence, and slides that introduce vocabulary and facilitate class discussion in order to better understand the principles of improv. My teaching style is energetic, casual, and flexible. I like to adjust my lesson in real-time in order to meet the needs of my students. No prior improv or acting experience is necessary. No external materials are needed for this course. Students need only bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Welcome to Ms. Jericha’s Mathprov Academy!
We’re all about combining the awesomeness of math with the magic of improv.
Our mission? It’s a two-in-one deal. First, we embrace the “yes, and” rule from improv and weave it into our online classes. We meet students right where they’re at (that’s the “yes” part!), and then we kick it up a notch by adding to what they already know and helping them soar (that’s the “and” part!).
We’re not afraid to switch things up, adapt on the fly, and keep the learning experience fresh and exciting.
Whether your child enrolls in our group math classes, private tutoring, or improv courses, it’s about unleashing their creativity, boosting their confidence, and embracing spontaneity.
At Ms. Jericha’s Mathprov Academy, we’re not just teaching – we’re inspiring, empowering, and having an absolute blast along the way. Get ready to rock math and roll with improv like never before!

⭐NEW TEACHER SPOTLIGHT⭐
🍎Ms. Jennifer - Math Teacher
I'm Jennifer, I have over twenty years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I've worked with students ranging from preschoolers to college-level learners. My teaching journey has taken me into traditional classroom settings, one-on-one tutoring sessions, and the online classroom. Regardless of where I am teaching, my greatest passion lies in fostering meaningful connections between my students and the subject matter.
I enjoy connecting with students in a fun and engaging environment. I believe that this helps foster an environment where students can learn and improve and become masters of the subject they are studying.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, I have 3 children and my husband and our Boston Terrier, Maverick.
I look forward to working with you soon!

🍎Ms. Jericha - Founder and Lead Teacher
My name is Jericha. I teach math and improv classes at the upper elementary and middle school levels. I like to connect course material to my students' interests and passions.
I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with a minor in theatre. I have also held multiple state teaching licenses with endorsements in elementary education and middle school theatre.
I spent two years as a 5th-grade teacher in a public school setting, and a year as a kindergarten teacher in a private childcare setting. However, the last six years have been dedicated to creating the best learning experience possible for students in online settings.
I believe in engaging students in an energetic and casual environment. I want my students to leave my classroom feeling like they learned something, had fun, and were seen and understood by their teacher. I earn so much satisfaction from watching my students grow over time, and feeling like I had a small part in helping them to become the people they want to be.
When I'm not in the classroom, I love spending time with my five-year-old daughter, my spouse, and our two snuggly cats! I am obsessed with Broadway, Disney movies, and the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
I look forward to getting to know your learner!
