There is so much more to acting than memorizing lines! In this highly engaging and interactive class, students will explore ways to use their bodies to create characters and express different scenarios. The class will begin with introductions and a review of classroom rules, then introduce the concept of "pantomime." Learners will observe and mimic examples of both good and bad pantomime, and then apply their new knowledge to their own pantomime. We will conclude the pantomime section of class with a whole-class game. Next, students will learn how we can create different characters with body large body movements and small facial expressions. Finally, we will practice using our bodies to show different sensory experiences, like touching a hot stove or tasting a sour lemon. The vocabulary and activities will be accompanied by a slideshow. My teaching style is energetic, casual, and flexible. I like to adjust my lesson in real-time in order to meet the needs of my students. No prior acting experience is necessary. No external materials are needed for this course. Students need only bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn!

Welcome to Ms. Jericha’s Mathprov Academy!
We’re all about combining the awesomeness of math with the magic of improv.
Our mission? It’s a two-in-one deal. First, we embrace the “yes, and” rule from improv and weave it into our online classes. We meet students right where they’re at (that’s the “yes” part!), and then we kick it up a notch by adding to what they already know and helping them soar (that’s the “and” part!).
We’re not afraid to switch things up, adapt on the fly, and keep the learning experience fresh and exciting.
Whether your child enrolls in our group math classes, private tutoring, or improv courses, it’s about unleashing their creativity, boosting their confidence, and embracing spontaneity.
At Ms. Jericha’s Mathprov Academy, we’re not just teaching – we’re inspiring, empowering, and having an absolute blast along the way. Get ready to rock math and roll with improv like never before!
Meet our Teachers:
⭐SPOTLIGHT ON NEW TEACHERS⭐
🍎Mr. Gevard - Math Teacher
My name is Gevard. I have over 17 years of experience working extensively with
students of varying backgrounds and ages. This includes working in both the private
and public-school sectors as a teacher of various subject areas at some point in my
career. I have served as a Title I tutor focusing on Reading and Math, as well as an
after-school enrichment teacher involving STEM.
Most recently, I have been working online as both a teacher/tutor to both
homeschool and traditional school students. I possess a bachelor's degree and a
certification in grades 6-12.
I strive to provide a fun, enriching, and engaging learning environment. I want my
students to flourish and achieve their respective goals, while enjoying the process.
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and watching
movies.
I look forward to establishing a rapport and working with your learner!
🍎Ms. Tiffany - Math Teacher
My name is Tiffany. I am a certified teacher with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in ESL. I have four years of classroom experience teaching 2nd and 4th grade, and I have worked with a wide range of learners in different educational settings.
My experience includes working in a daycare, interning in a kindergarten classroom, and completing my student teaching in a 2nd/3rd grade split class via Zoom. I have also worked as an online math and reading tutor, helping students build confidence and strengthen their skills in a supportive and engaging environment.
I believe in making learning interactive, fun, and meaningful for every student. My goal is to create a welcoming space where students feel encouraged to grow academically and socially. I look forward to learning with you!

🍎Ms. Jennifer - Math Teacher
I'm Jennifer, I have over twenty years of experience in education. Throughout my career, I've worked with students ranging from preschoolers to college-level learners. My teaching journey has taken me into traditional classroom settings, one-on-one tutoring sessions, and the online classroom. Regardless of where I am teaching, my greatest passion lies in fostering meaningful connections between my students and the subject matter.
I enjoy connecting with students in a fun and engaging environment. I believe that this helps foster an environment where students can learn and improve and become masters of the subject they are studying.
When I am not teaching, I love spending time with my family, I have 3 children and my husband and our Boston Terrier, Maverick.
I look forward to working with you soon!
🍎Ms. Jericha - Founder and Lead Teacher
My name is Jericha. I teach math and improv classes at the upper elementary and middle school levels. I like to connect course material to my students' interests and passions.
I hold a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with a minor in theatre. I have also held multiple state teaching licenses with endorsements in elementary education and middle school theatre.
I spent two years as a 5th-grade teacher in a public school setting, and a year as a kindergarten teacher in a private childcare setting. However, since 2017, I've have been dedicated to creating the best learning experience possible for students in online settings.
I believe in engaging students in an energetic and casual environment. I want my students to leave my classroom feeling like they learned something, had fun, and were seen and understood by their teacher. I earn so much satisfaction from watching my students grow over time, and feeling like I had a small part in helping them to become the people they want to be.
When I'm not in the classroom, I love dancing, singing, practicing aerial arts, and spending time with my seven-year-old daughter and our two snuggly cats (Chip and Salsa)! I am obsessed with Broadway musicals, Disney movies, and Doctor Who.
I look forward to getting to know your learner!
