Think of it as waking up to your morning paper with your coffee and slippers...... but WAY MORE FUN! Let's get this day started! Get Up! Homeroom Hangout is a daily 30 minute easy homeroom course. Perfect for a fresh start to each new day, or the ending to a challenging week! Mixing art, music, Fun Facts, affirmations, interactive fun and conversation starters! Get your day started! In this instructor led class, students will meet and hang with friends, play fun games ,learn fun facts and useful social skills! Meet-ups are quick, fun, low-stress and include a variety of topics including words of the day, affirmation of the day, Kahoot games, Who-dunnit mysteries and more to get those productive juices flowing!! Here's a sample of our daily routine: 1) "What's the word" -At the start all students write down the word of the day and discuss 2) "The weather team"- report the weather from each coast of the US 3) "Tell me something good" - a quick class check-in that gives every student a chance to talk about personal goals for the week (1-2 minutes each student ) 4) Group Games and puzzles 5) Last but not least, Students will be given an affirmation of the day to lift morale and get them going! The class will be structured but flexible to the needs and ideas of the group. Sep 9: Get Up! Homeroom Hangout Topics: Word of the Day: Determination Affirmation of the day: Today, I will take steps to reach my goals. Game of the day: Homophone hangman Sep 10: Get Up! Homeroom Hangout Topics: Word of the Day: Acceleration Affirmation of the day: My goals are achievable. Game of the day: Who-dunnit Sep 11: Get Up! Homeroom Hangout Topics: Word of the Day: Prosperity Affirmation of the day: Healthy food fuels my body. Game of the day: Kahoot Sep 12: Get Up! Homeroom Hangout Topics: Word of the Day: Opportunity Affirmation of the day: My possibilities are endless Game of the day: Memory NOTE: Ongoing courses do not have an end date so once the above topics are completed, new topics will be introduced in upcoming weeks. With a quick witty teaching style, this class is sure to be a blast! Learners get to interact with myself and each other as we talk laugh and ask questions! No required experience or knowledge needed! This class will provide social opportunities, fun, laughter, and joy for our learners. We will work on positive interactions and kindness. Learners will be able to set personal goals and share progress updates in a setting designed to encourage one another. This class is open to all learners. Students are encouraged to participate .

I love poetry, art, music, Idioms adages and different expressions of the human cultural experience!!! In my spare time I read study and paint a lot! A lot can be learned through the music and artistic expression of people around the world.
Teaching is my passion, and for the past 22 years, I have been lucky to do what I love. I teach 3 classes totaling about 90 teenagers daily. I run a Multi-Cultural Homeschooling Group of over 200 families where I teach children ages 8-12 a variety of subjects. I am also a full-time homeschooling mom to my amazing 11-year-old daughter.
I have a passion to share what I know! In my classes I provide extraordinary experiences through unique use of humor and video during lessons making learning fun in our relaxed classroom setting.
I am always excited to learn new things! The best investment you can make is the one you make in yourself! I work consistently to improve my skills, and continuing professional training is absolutely an integral part. Every year I take advanced instructor training courses to stay abreast of the current teaching methods and techniques available to prepare for fantastic individual learning opportunities.
