Class experience
During this class, the students will learn about the writing process based upon the learner's needs. The topics that will be covered may include: Letter formation in either print or cursive depending on the student's needs Writing words Using words in sentences Writing different types of sentences The class will follow the following format: Greetings Fine motor skill warm ups Demonstration and practice time I will teach using demonstration followed closely by allowing the student to practice...
This class is taught in English.
Students will increase their ability to form letters in either print or cursive correctly depending on the needs of the student. We will use these skills to build into writing words correctly. The skills we focus on will be dependent on the needs of the learner as determined by the parent, the learner, and me. A weekly breakdown of focus skills is not available as it is dependent on the child's skills and needs.
I have been an educator for 31+ years. During this time, I have taught all academic areas for grades K-5 including STEM and Art. I have a Bachelors's Degree in Special Education, a Master's Degree in Emotional and Behavior Disorders. I am also certified to teach all academic areas K-5, ELA K-12, ESL, and as a School Library Media Specialist.
