Writing and Phonics Fun

Join me in this fun 11 week class where your child will have fun learning phonics and writing concepts through activities and and exercises that we will do together.  We will have fun visual tools to use for learning as we go along.  I understand that each child learns at a different pace and I am prepared to go however fast or slow depending on their learning rate.  After each class your child will have more knowledge of letters and their sounds along with learning to read and write words along the way.  During each class we will work on specific topics that your child needs the most help with.

The class curriculum will include:
✔Identifying Letters and their Sounds
✔Targeted Phonics Practice
✔Reading, writing, and sounding sight words out
✔Long and short vowels
✔Writing sentences 
✔Rhyming words
✔Parts of Speech

Week 1: Assessment of how far along your child is.
Week 2: We will work on identifying Letters and their sounds
Week 3: Review of letters and sounds and well as sight word sounding out
Week 4: Review and Sight word reading and writing
Week 5: Review of letters, sight words and working on long and short vowels
Week 6: Review of previous weeks and working on vowels.
Week 7: Review and rhyming words
Week 8: Review and assessment before moving on.
Week 9: Review and parts of speech
Week 10: Review and writing sentences.


Each class I will provide your child with personalized worksheets/activities that we will complete together.  I have visual aids that we will use that include dry erase boards, magnetic letters, and fun flash cards to help your child learn.  By the end of this class your child will have confidence in reading sentences and short stories as well as identifying parts of a sentence and writing sentences.    At the beginning of each class we will review what we learned in the previous class to refresh our memory.  This is one of my favorite topics to teach and I love seeing the children grow as they learn a new concepts in class.  I cant wait to meet your child and start working with them to help them learn and achieve goals.  Your child will have fun learning in this class.
