US Grade 1
In this 14 week class we will work on skills that will help them in first grade. We will work on math, reading and phonics and whatever skill your child needs help with the most. For this class I will have dry erase boards that I can show the child examples of how to do the work and explain it to them step by step. We will have worksheets for each class that will need to be printed out before each class meeting. I look forward to working with your child on different skills that will help them prepare for 1st grade.. The schedule may change if we need to spend a little more time on one area or another. By the time we finish your child will be have learned so many skills to help them prepare for a fun year of 1st grade.. I cant wait to work with your child and help them learn in new and exciting fun ways. I hope they are ready to have a fun time. I will post the lessons the weekend before each Monday class. My name is Kelli Lord and I love to teach. I have a wide range of classes that include reading books, circle time, alphabet and number crafts, and book clubs. I have my associates degree in Early Childhood Education. I have taught at a Child Development Center for the past 8 years with 18 months - 5 years. I currently teach a class with 2 year old children during the week. I also work with the children's department at my church on Sunday's doing music and drama. In the past I have worked with school age students at an afterschool program. Every year one of my favorite things to is to travel to Mexico with a team from my church doing Kid's Clubs and working with children in one of the local orphanages. I love spending time with my family. I love learning and being able to teach students. I believe children should have fun while learning.
