In each custom English grammar and writing tutoring session, learners will receive personalized instruction tailored to their unique needs Each session focuses on building strong grammar skills, refining writing techniques, and improving overall communication. Dyslexia, dysgraphia, and neurodivergent learners will benefit from various tools and assistive strategies designed to make learning accessible and enjoyable. With a focus on individual strengths, learners will gain confidence and improve their skills in a supportive, customized environment.Assessment
I do not offer formal assessments. I partner with each student and parent to foster a collaborative approach to learning. The "assessments" are an update on your students' session and is customized for their learning journey. Our "learning journey" will be flexible to meet the needs of each student.Class Experience

Beginner - Advanced Level
✨Each session is a 1:1 tutoring session. 👉 Please reach out with days/times you prefer. Your session will be a private session unless you'd like to schedule multiple students together. You may reach out to schedule multiple dates/times for your child to provide consistency. 🔹️Students will enjoy the guided partnership approach. Each student will have an individualized guided lesson to build their toolbox. Our time together will build their confidence while sparking interest with a variety of learning methods. 🔸️Students' base knowledge will be evaluated during sessions and concepts will be introduced for age and understanding. Sample topic areas: ~Stages of Writing Process: prewriting, drafting, revising, editing, and publishing ~Formatting writing: Google Docs, Microsoft Word, MLA, APA... ~Narrative ~Creative ~Expository ~Opinion ~Persuasive ~Informative ~Topic development, thesis statements, and hook sentences ~Research paper development: Guided step-by-step process ~Presentation development: Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint ~Partnership writing: guided writing with unique concepts ~Map writing and development ~Book reports: creativity projects ~Homework assistance: writing, grammar, punctuation, capitalization... ~Note-taking methods: Cornell, Outline, SQ4R, Visual/Image notes... **Please send a message after enrolling with the preferred topics for your child's session. Learning Needs
This class supports all learning levels and abilities. Many unique learning opportunities are available for dyslexia, dysgraphia, and neurodiverse learners. Supportive technology with various in class tools will be offered to students.
Supply List
Students may bring textbooks and homework should they need assistance with solidifying concepts. All instruction and writing will be typed on-screen for students. We will collaborate and students may type on-screen, annotate, and utilize additional assistive tools offered in our sessions.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

My teaching philosophy embraces all learning styles to engage and inspire students. I offer dynamic classes and private tutoring that builds on each student's current knowledge. Understanding that every student is unique and learns best in their own way, I ensure our sessions are comfortable and tailored to their preferences—whether they thrive through conversation, drawing, visuals, or listening.
I provide both local and online tutoring for students ranging from elementary to university levels. With experience in editing and publishing, including statistical footnotes for books, periodicals, and journals, I bring a diverse skill set to our sessions. My background in nursing, homeschooling, specialized dyslexia/dysgraphia training and tutoring allows me to deliver personalized instruction while partnering with each learner to spark their confidence and discover their unique learning path.
