Class experience
Using photos and various videos, students will learn a bit of background of each language, and view a short video to sample the language through songs, poems, counting, etc. This is a great way to hear a wide variety of languages on different continents, and learn a few new words! The main learning goal is cultural awareness through a variety of languages.
I have always had an interest in languages, and learn languages anywhere I can. I fluently speak Spanish, and have studied ASL, German, Japanese, and currently Mandarin. I strongly believe in introducing different cultures through language, and I find this a fun way to hear a small portion of the thousands of languages in the world.
A one-page handout of the languages and links used is included.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
