Vítám vás na kurzu češtiny! Welcome to Czech class! This course aims to develop basic communicative abilities in Czech while acquainting students with various aspects of Czech culture. After the semester, students should be able to communicate on an elementary level about himself/herself; his/her family; daily activities; and his/her interests. Students will also be able handle basic social communications related to food, shopping, school, and travelling. Students do not require any previous knowledge of Czech and every lesson starts with fresh new vocabulary so they can join this ongoing course at any time. 1. Week of February 18: Learning Objective: Introduce myself in Czech Greetings, Thanks, Apologies, Introductions 2. Week of February 25: Learning Objective: Know the colors in Czech Basic questions, agreement, disagreement 3. Week of March 3: Learning Objective: Know the numbers in Czech Request and demands, difficulties, making yourself understood 4. Week of March 10: Learning Objective: Know the basic food in Czech Personal information, family The topics in subsequent weeks will be: 5. Animals 6. Weather 7. Nature 8. Fruit and vegetables 9.
