Class Experience

Everyone loves a mystery! Mysteries get reluctant readers and writers enthusiastic about reading, thinking, and writing. Students will have so much fun participating in solving this mystery! Students will use a character map to help solve the mystery. Mysteries are wonderful to learn about because they hold a student's interest with their suspenseful and dynamic plots.

The purpose of this class is to promote student participation and encourage learners to deduce a solution from provided clues to solve mysteries. Having the learners solve the mysteries provides an opportunity to discuss many aspects of literature including setting, characters, and plot.

The teaching still will be relaxed with open discussion. Students will interact with the teacher and each other by sharing opinions and clues via class discussion. However, students will work individually or as a group (depending upon the number of enrollments( to solve the mystery). I will give them feedback on their clues to solving the mysteries.

No prior knowledge is required by the students to participate in this class.

Learning Goals
