What will be taught? Students will learn strategies to resolve conflicts peacefully and effectively with friends, siblings, and classmates. We will focus on communication, problem-solving, empathy, and compromise. What topics will you cover? Understanding different types of conflicts How to express feelings without hurting others Active listening and seeing different perspectives Problem-solving strategies for fair solutions The power of an apology and making things right How to stay calm when emotions run high How is your class structured? This class is 45 minutes long and structured with engaging activities, including: Warm-up Game – Icebreaker to introduce the topic Discussion & Storytelling – Fun, age-appropriate scenarios about friendship conflicts Role-Playing & Problem-Solving – Students will act out scenarios and find solutions Interactive Game – A teamwork challenge to practice skills learned Wrap-Up & Reflection – Sharing what we’ve learned and how we’ll use it in real life How will you teach? I use a highly interactive approach with storytelling, role-playing, and guided discussion. Kids will learn through play, examples, and activities that encourage participation and problem-solving. What's your teaching style? I believe learning should be engaging, fun, and hands-on! My approach is warm, energetic, and student-centered, creating a supportive environment where kids feel comfortable sharing and practicing new skills. How much will learners get to interact with you? This is a highly interactive class! Students will participate in: ✅ Guided discussions ✅ Group games and teamwork challenges ✅ Role-playing scenarios ✅ Problem-solving activities with me and their classmates Session 1: Understanding conflict, emotions, and communication skills Session 2: Role-playing and problem-solving real-life friendship conflicts Session 3: Advanced skills like compromise, forgiveness, and handling difficult situations (what to do when a solution isn't working)

Parental Guidance
Canva Slides and Youtube videos will be used as a screen share resource. Kahoot will be used via link share. No account is required. This class uses age-appropriate conflict examples related to friendships and everyday interactions. There will be no discussions of intense topics like bullying, violence, or serious emotional conflicts.
