In this course, readers will learn how to pick out important information in a nonfiction text in order to write a summary in order to hone reading comprehension skills.

Readers will learn to use nonfiction text features to decipher the most vital information in a nonfiction text. They will then use this information to write a paragraph summary of the text.
I have taught in elementary schools for 10 years.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
