What Did I Just Read? - Comprehension: Summarizing Nonfiction (Changing Earth)

I am a licensed teacher in the state of Virginia and have worked in the public school system for about 10 years.  I have known my whole life that I was meant to be a teacher. (Ever since I taught my baby sister her alphabet when I was 5, anyway.)  

I offer a large variety courses in reading comprehension, literature-based creative writing, science, history, math and life skills.  I strive to open my students' eyes to the larger world through literature and exploration.    

I firmly believe that education should be individualized for students.  If I find that your child is struggling to access the curriculum, I quickly look to see what method would allow them to succeed and put it into place.  If your child has special needs, please reach out to me and I will work with you to make sure your student's needs are met to the best of my ability.  All teacher-created materials are in a dyslexia-friendly font.

Additionally, if you are interested in a course, but do not see a time that works for you, I encourage you to reach out.  If at all possible, I will gladly schedule a section that works for you and your child.
