Student’s final project can be one of the following with presentation on Unit 6 of last module of class content: (1) Minecraft build, Lego blocks build, or drawing of a vampire's home (2) Short story about a vampire (3) Game with the theme being vampires (4) Drawing of two different vampires (5) Pretend you are writing a newspaper article about recent vampire sightings in the neighborhood (6) Your choice on your final project as long as it reflects your reading of the book.Class Experience

The student will be reading the book, "Hanging with Vampires: A Totally Factual Field Guild To The Supernatural" by Insha Fitzpatrick. There is an introduction, 6 chapters and a conclusion in the book. There are fun activities in the book plus additional activities provided by the teacher. Cool history and science facts are throughout the book. During week 4, the student presents their final project which represents their reading comprehension of the book. During the weeks of this class, the student will independently work on their final project and post in the classroom during the last week of class. Students can do anything for their final project to summarize the book that they read. Student’s final project can be one of the following with presentation on Unit 6 of last module of class content, the details of which is in the Assessment Policy. As a learner-to-teacher interaction, I will post discussion questions throughout each week. Some of the questions will include thoughtful information from the book. Examples of some questions in the classroom could be "what does the definition of (a particular word) mean and have you ever done this?" or "which aspect of the book most caught your eye - discuss why this was." Additionally, the student will be able to discuss in the classroom about the many fun facts learned from the book to reinforce their reading and understanding. There are also some fun activities in the book for the learner to complete additional fun activities will be provided by the teacher for the learner to complete, and discuss in the classroom. Through the classroom's image posting option, student will be able to show images of what they created for their final project. Student can use the option of uploading a short video if they are on a computer or a screenshot of their final project can be taken and uploaded to the device being used to sign in for this class.
Learning Goals
Student will be showing comprehension of their reading of the book by answering discussion questions. Student will expand their creativity as shown by their final project.

Be aware that this book is about the supernatural so it may be scary for some learners.
Parental guidance needed as screening of learner's Minecraft shares may be posted in classroom for final project. Student may be posting final project via screenshots which may be posted in classroom.

I, as a long time homeschool teacher and Licensed Clinical Social Worker, am aware of how to handle and address sensitive topics.
