Verbal communication
Social and interpersonal skills

Plus loads of fun!

11/2/24: Animals
11/23/24: Thanksgiving

Student will need paper, pencil/crayons/colored pencils (something to write with), and one 6-sided die (attached is a paper 6-sided die which can be printed out and constructed).

I have done game nights in my home for over four years and since March 2020 I have been doing game night over Zoom. I have worked with special needs students as an early childhood teacher and licensed clinical social worker. I love being a part of the creative sparks and the special smiles when my students get what we've just learned, understand, and can recreate that new learned game!

**Please be advised that in this class students interact with each other and the teacher so webcam needs to remain on during entire class.**

Teacher expertise and credentials
I teach unit studies, gameschooling, and life skills. I have extensive knowledge on how to work with special needs or special "abilities" persons who learn outside of the box due to my own life journey and the adventure of parenting special abilities' children.

My professional background is in social work since 1982. I have worked as a preschool teacher. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with specialties in mental health, substance abuse, and geriatrics. I have worked with ages 2-101 years old. I have homeschooled since 2002.

I value each person's individuality. I love to help others find their strengths and support. My teaching is eclectic, just like each person is. The definition of eclectic is "selecting or made up of what seems best of varied sources." The.key word in that definition is "best." I want to bring out the "best" in each student.

While homeschooling my children, I found "gameschooling." Gameschooling is the joy of using games to reinforce educational subjects. I absolutely love playing board games, card games and dice games. I have over 300 games in my home and growing.
