In this six week course, I will introduce students to fraction basics, and then we will move at their pace through the operations using fractions.

In this six week small group class, students will learn fraction basics, and then we will move into everything else they need to know about them. We will answer the following questions: What is a fraction? How do we compare a fraction to a whole number? How do we compare fractions to each other? We will work on finding the LCM (least common multiple), the GCF (greatest common factor), and common denominators. We will talk about the WHY and the HOW of fractions. I love to engage students...
This class is taught in English.
Students will learn what a fraction is, how to compare a fraction to a whole number, and how to compare simple fractions to each other. They will learn about factors, multiples, and why common denominators are needed in addition and subtraction. They will learn how to multiply and divide fractions. They will also learn about simplifying/reducing fractions. This is a one stop fraction course for kids!
