Class Experience

US Grade 3 - 6
Does your learner have a cat at home that they would like to train on a leash? In this class, learners will engage in tips and tricks on how to take their cat outdoors. We will learn a step-by-step process of how to train our cats to be able to go outside, creating a safe and happy experience for our cats. We will learn about cat behaviour and be able to read cat body language to better understand the emotions of our pet (such as happiness, anxiety etc.,).

I will share my personal experiences about my cat Isa and how Isa was trained to walk on a leash. Isa is also a traveller and has perfected her walking skills throughout the countries that we have visited together!

This is an interactive class where we will be engaging in dialogue. I recommend that learners engage with the teacher and peers by sharing their own experiences about their furry companions!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello families! My name is Edria and I am a certified teacher from Ontario, Canada! I have 8 years of teaching experience in the classroom and online education.

I have a degree in Psychology and French studies, with a specialization in teaching French. I began my teaching career in French as a Second Language (Core French) in middle school and transitioned into teaching French Immersion to Grade 1's. Outside the classroom, I have had the opportunity to work abroad, teaching and mentoring Canadian students during film productions. In 2020, I co-founded a Nonprofit Organization that provides free computer programming and English courses to children and youth in need. I believe that education is a right, and it must be accessible to all.

I have a great passion for languages! I am currently learning German and Greek (simultaneously!). I speak English, French, and Albanian. I believe that learning a new language can be daunting and exciting at the same time. That is why my teaching philosophy is to remain adaptable and flexible for each student's needs, creating a safe environment for them to participate and learn with ease. Learning should be fun and engaging, and I strive my best to create a space where my students are enjoying their learning experience.

In addition to languages, my other passion is to travel and learn about different cultures and food. I am also an animal lover and have a cat that walks on a leash! I take great pride and joy in taking care of animals. Some of my classes are even catered towards cat lovers!

I look forward to meeting you soon and learning together!
