Are you an animal lover? Do you want to learn what you can do every day to help them survive? Class Content: Come join in this group for fellow animal lovers as we learn about animals around the world. This group will have weekly posts that discusses animals that are currently dealing with issues with conservation and how people are helping them. From week to week there will be posts that will vary based on animals. Learners are invited to to post responses with videos, words, or documents. Why This Class: I have worked at the local AZA (american zoological association) zoo in the education department. I have worked with summer programs, overnight, school and scout groups giving tours and helping to run programs. Class interaction: I will be posting weekly surveys that learners can answer to help guide what animals we learn about. I will also be posting topics that learners will post responses to as well as activities that can be completed on learners own time. Weekly activities: In addition to the posts learners are invited to participate in weekly challenges. These challenges will vary week to week but will have to do with the weekly animal. These challenges will include developing plans that learners can create, making videos or posts on animals that they know about, creating surveys that other learners can fill out or other fun activities. Group Moderator: Class Moderator: As a moderator, I will be monitoring what is posted and making sure everyone is following the classroom norms. I will also be posting weekly activities or challenges that learners will be able to complete and share their results on the class page.
