Three-Quarter Time Tutoring offers one-on-one tailored teaching to meet the need(s) of every student in a 45-minute time frame that may be most appropriate for them. Students will learn letter/sound correspondence, blending sounds together to form words and skills to decode new words through incremental, systematic phonics instruction. While there is no background knowledge required for this course, an individual diagnostic placement test is required at no additional cost. Participants will complete an average of 1 lesson per 40-minute session. Independent assignments are an integral part of instruction and must be completed before the next scheduled session. Students are evaluated daily via verbal participation and completed written exercises. Benchmark Mastery tests are provided to be sure necessary skills are attained and retained.
