Class Experience

Families who follow me on Outschool have come to know that I see my life's mission as helping people get in touch with their most authentic selves, what I think is pure and good. I've been doing this throughout my life and professionally for over 30 years as an educator. In support of this work, I promote the idea of people centering themselves each week around the concept of thoughtful action. Thoughtful action involves three steps:

AWARENESS - Noticing what is happening inside and outside of myself.
CONSIDERATION - Can I do something about a situation I've noticed? Do I want to do something about it? Do I have the resources, the time, the energy?
ACTION - If I decide to move forward, I complete the thoughtful action.

In this weekly class, we'll review the thoughtful action steps and apply them to situations we've experienced, read about, and seen. Then I'll add an additional theme to focus our thoughtfulness in the upcoming week. Here are four sample themes:

NEIGHBORLY - Be especially helpful, friendly, or kind.
GENEROUS - Give more than expected.
AFFECTIONATE - Readily show your fondness to a loved one.
CONSIDERATE - Be careful not to cause inconvenience.

This activity is set up with a 5-year age range to help young people learn to appreciate and respect others outside of their age.

A NOTE ABOUT THE COST OF THIS CLASS:

I know the price of my classes is higher than many others on Outschool. As an experienced and talented educator, I believe I'm worth this amount and invite you to look at my reviews. That said, I don't want any family to be priced out of what I offer. Whatever your financial situation, if you're interested in one or more of my classes, please reach out and let me know what you can afford. I can provide coupons, refunds, and/or reductions, and am confident we can find an equitable rate that works for you and me.
