Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 5
In this fun and engaging class, students will improve their critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Through a series of interactive games, they’ll complete riddles, solve rebus style puzzles, anagrams and dive into detective-style challenges reminiscent of Sherlock Holmes. They'll also enjoy activities like "spot the difference", escape room-style games and much more. All my lessons are designed to sharpen your learner's mind while having a blast!

This class is designed to be low-pressure, so students can feel free to learn at their own pace. If they encounter any tricky puzzles, I’m here to gently guide them through the process, helping them piece together clues and think critically. Whether your child is a puzzle master or a complete beginner, they’ll have plenty of opportunities to build their problem-solving skills in a fun and supportive environment.

Here’s why you should consider this class:

1. Boosts Critical Thinking: Students will learn to approach problems from different angles and think critically to find solutions, skills that will serve them in school and life.

2. Fosters Teamwork & Collaboration: Many of the activities, like escape room puzzles and detective challenges, are designed to encourage teamwork, helping students learn how to work effectively with others.

3. Promotes Confidence: As your learner tackles puzzles and solve mysteries, they’ll gain confidence in their ability to think independently and persist through challenges.

4. Fun & Low-Pressure Environment: This class is all about enjoying the process. Students can take the class at their own pace and I will adapt the lessons to their level.

5. Great for All Skill Levels: Whether your child is a puzzle master or just starting to develop their critical thinking skills, I will tailor the lesson to your child, making it accessible for everyone.

What's my teaching style?
My approach with learners is very patient and kind. I emphasize positive reinforcement as much as possible and let the students know that their hard work is paying off. Throughout the class, students receive lots of praise—words like "Good work! You're doing great! Excellent job!"—to keep them motivated and confident in their progress.

Why choose this class?
Every child is unique, and this class is designed to tap into your learner's personal interests to make learning engaging and relevant. Whether your child loves animals, superheroes, video games, cartoons or building things, I will adapt activities to their favorite topics, helping them develop critical thinking in a fun way.

Learning Goals

Students will develop the ability to analyze puzzles, identify patterns, and think critically to find solutions. Through activities like riddles, detective puzzles, and escape room challenges, they'll learn how to approach problems from multiple angles.
