In this five day a week math class, learners will increase their math skills as we learn math concepts and put them to use.
Class experience
US Grade 3
f your child wants to feel confident in math skills and you want to ensure your learner is on grade level, this may be the class for your learner. We will begin with a math game for about five minutes in order to warm up our math skills. This will be followed by the weekly concept. Learners who join this class should be confident in addition and subtraction, including the basics of regrouping (carrying and borrowing). Student will learn new math concepts as well as review and build upon second grade concepts. We will practice learning the concepts together through games and working problems helping each learner to feel secure in their third grade math knowledge.
I have taught lower elementary grades, including third grade, for 27 years in a brick and mortar classroom and three years on Outschool.
Homework Offered
I will have optional worksheets a few days a week (one or two days). It is not necessary to complete but will help each learn achieve their maximum potentialAssessments Offered
