Description
Class Experience
This is the perfect class to improve the student's reading and speaking skills in English. In this lesson we will... - Practice blending sounds to create words ending in "ALL" - Make predictions about the story - Read the book "The Snowman" while asking and answering questions - Retell the story - Learn the vocabulary words « Sweep », « Snowball », « Snowman », « Door » « Roof » and « Fall off » - Talk about what we like to do on snowy days
No homework is required but practicing speaking what was taught in the lesson is always encouraged. If the parent would like homework assigned, please contact Teacher Laurie.
Each child will have an informal assessment throughout the lesson, including how much the student is engaged during the lesson, speaks in complete sentences and if the child is able to put together phonics to create words. Written feedback is provided after each lesson.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
