I grew up in Canada and moved to the US, where my 2 children were born. As a family, we spend a lot of time travelling between the 2 countries. We also like to go on nature hikes, watch movies and host family game nights. Traveling to new places gets me really excited!

𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸𝗴𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱
My experience in teaching started when I was in high school as a math and ESL tutor. I majored in life sciences at Queen’s University in Ontario with a minor in psychology. I moved to North Carolina and practiced for 5 years as a chiropractor and acupuncturist before starting a family and embarking on a second career as a university instructor. I have been teaching anatomy & physiology and medical terminology for over 15 years and am still loving it!

Whether teaching in person or online, I use interactive activities and games to introduce or reinforce new material. My goal in teaching is to reach out to every individual and get them engaged in their own learning.

All classes are taught at an introductory level. No science experience is needed. This means, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘫𝘶𝘮𝘱 𝘪𝘯 𝘢𝘵 𝘢𝘯𝘺 𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦! Classes are engaging! Learners can expect short quizzes, games, drawing and other online activities. As per Outschool policy, 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬-𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘣𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘴. I encourage webcams to stay on during class, but it is not mandatory.

Learners who miss a class have access to class material and recordings or can opt to transfer to a different section. In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a class due to technical issues, I will notify you to reschedule or issue a refund. Feel free to send me a message if you have any questions regarding my classes. For other inquiries, please contact support@outschool.com.

See you soon!
