Class Experience

US Grade 9 - 12
This class is best suited for teens who are:
👍Considering a career in healthcare
👍Looking ahead to college courses in health science
👍In need of a science credit that is fun and challenging

Class is led by an expert guide:
👍A chiropractor and acupuncturist who enjoys word puzzles and terminology
👍A veteran teacher with over 20 years experience at the college and high school level

This 1-time introduction class covers spelling rules for medical terms as well as word parts (prefixes, suffixes and roots). We will also begin to build our “word bank”. It is a good foundation for future medical-based classes, such as anatomy and physiology.

Learners will participate in an interactive lesson where they will practice spelling and pronunciations in real-time. An optional word bank with a worksheet will be provided before class and can be submitted for grading and feedback once the class is over.

* As per Outschool policy, 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘳𝘴 𝘮𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘤𝘬-𝘪𝘯 𝘰𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘪𝘳 𝘸𝘦𝘣𝘤𝘢𝘮𝘴. I encourage webcams to stay on during class, but it is not mandatory.
* Learners who miss a class have access to class material and recordings or can opt to transfer to a different section. Cancellations can be made up to when class begins and are entitled to a full refund.
* Classes will not be canceled due to low enrollment. If a learner misses a class and is the only one enrolled, no recording will be available. Instead, you will be contacted to transfer to a different section.
* In the unlikely event that I need to cancel a class due to technical issues, I will notify you to reschedule or issue a refund.
