Class Experience

We will be reading the book, Mary Martha Merta, but it is not required to get this book before class. I have the kindle version of the book and will share my screen.

The class will have this structure:
1. We will sing a simple 'Hello Song'.
2. We will do a warm-up game to warm up our hands and fingers for playing the ukulele.
3. We will talk about the correct playing position
4. We will practice rhythmic patterns for the songs we will play
5. We will play each song, with guidance to use the correct strumming and timing
6. Students can perform parts of the song by themselves (optional)
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to hold the ukulele, strumming techniques, basic chords, and rhythms.
