In this on-going class, students will use their creativity to build outlines for short stories based on picture snapshots.

Students are given feedback for their story element brainstorms during class and will have teacher feedback for any stories completed and posted to the teacher the week after class.Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
Want weekly inspiration for your creative writing? In this on-going class, students will view snapshots of pictures to inspire short, creative stories using quick, impromptu writing notes. Students will be introduced to the general story sequence through slides as well as a simple outline provided in pdf form. Throughout class the teacher will interact with students through several rounds of flashing photos on the screen and students will have 2 minutes to jot down notes and/or ideas for different story elements. After the allotted time students will have the chance to share ideas for feedback from the teacher and/or classmates through questioning and discussion. Upon completion of the class, students will have the chance to write one of their short story outlines into a finished story to post in the classroom for feedback from classmates and/or the teacher. Students should be able to write sentences proficiently.
Supply List
Students will need lined paper and a writing utensil for class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
