Class Experience

What Will My Child Learn?
In Sip & Chat, students will develop key skills in communication, creativity, and self-expression. Through engaging conversations and creative activities, they’ll explore their interests, share their ideas, and gain confidence in their unique voices.

What Topics Will Spark Their Imagination?
Every week, we’ll dive into topics that fuel curiosity and inspire creativity. These may include:

Creative Writing: Expressing themselves through poems, stories, and songs
Pop Culture & Interests: Discussing the latest trends, shows, and music
Motivation & Inspiration: Finding ways to stay inspired and creative
Social Connection: Building friendships through thoughtful conversations
Relaxed Discussions: Fun, open-ended chats where everyone’s opinion matters

How Is Each Session Designed to Engage My Child?
Each Sip & Chat class is structured to be a balance of creativity, conversation, and collaboration:

Warm Welcome: We start by introducing ourselves and our drink choice of the day to set the cozy, coffeehouse vibe.

Creative Sharing: Students are invited to share their personal creations, from poems to artwork (no pressure, just an opportunity to express).

Thoughtful Discussions: I’ll guide the group through a meaningful conversation or brainstorming session on a fun or inspiring topic.

Collaborative Activities: Short, interactive exercises to help spark new ideas and build community.

Casual Closing: We end with an open space to hang out, reflect, or simply chat and share anything that’s on students’ minds.

How Will You Inspire My Child to Open Up and Connect?
I use a relaxed, approachable teaching style designed to make every student feel heard and valued. By encouraging open dialogue and sharing, I foster an environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. My goal is to make each class feel like a safe, judgment-free space where creativity thrives.

This class is all about making connections, building confidence, and having fun with creativity. I’m here to guide the flow, but the students will take the lead in shaping the experience!

Learning Goals

Form Connections: Develop friendships through positive, respectful conversations.
Build Confidence: Gain confidence in self-expression and participating in group discussions.

Supply List
For Sip & Chat, students will need the following materials:

A Favorite Drink (Optional): To set the coffee shop vibes, students should bring their favorite beverage—whether it's coffee, tea, hot chocolate, or anything else they enjoy sipping while chatting. This helps create a relaxed, cozy atmosphere!

Creative Materials (Optional): If students would like to share something they’ve created, they can bring along a short story, poem, song, or artwork. This is completely optional, but it adds a fun, creative element to the class!

No textbooks or additional materials are required for the class. The focus is on conversation, creativity, and connection, so students just need their drink and a willingness to participate.

I have over 8 years of experience working in education, where I’ve had the privilege of connecting with students in various classroom settings. One of my most rewarding initiatives has been hosting coffee shop socials in my classroom, where students could gather, relax, and engage in meaningful conversations—just like at a real coffee shop. These events have been incredibly successful, allowing students to share ideas, explore their creativity, and build stronger social connections in a relaxed, low-pressure environment.
