Class Experience
🧑🚀👨🚀👩🚀🚀Space Camp is a fun interactive class where students go on pretend missions, create space-themed crafts, and play fun games. Students will learn about the moon, its phases, the sun, star formation, black holes, constellations, and space objects such as asteroids, comets, meteors, and Mars. 🌜In lesson 1, students journey to the moon to explore its orbit and gravity and learn extraordinary facts. This class is taught in English.
Students will learn about the Moon, satellites manufactured/natural, the Moon's phases, Earth's and Moon's orbit, gravity, star formation, star life cycles, black holes, constellations, asteroids, comets, and the Ort Cloud, meteors, and more. The main goal is to spark interest in learning and the importance of understanding outer space.
Lesson 1 - No materials required. Lesson 2 - 8 - 10 Oreos, Paper Plate, Marker or Pencil, Spoon, and Glue. Lesson 3 - No materials required. Lesson 4 - Mini Marshmallows and Pretzel Sticks or Toothpicks. Lesson 5 - No materials required.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Students may want to use scissors during lesson 6. In this case, parent supervision is required, but scissors are OPTIONAL. Thank you!
