Second Grade Language Skills Review

***This class must have  3 students enrolled***

This ten week course will focus on one main concept from second grade language arts skill sets each week, so students may join at any time!  Students will be given direct instruction of the concept of focus. They will then be given example problems to work on in whole group, following the teacher’s example and directions. This time will allow for open discussion and questions to be asked in order to gain a deeper understanding. Finally, students will be given their own problem(s) to work on during class time. This class is a great class for students wishing to keep their skills!  
Topics will include:
Week One: (June 6): Rhyming words and compound words
Week Two: (June 13): Contractions
Week Three: (June 20): Arrange words to make a sentence
Week Four: (June 27): Identify and use asking and telling sentences
Week Five: (July 4): Review writing sentences. Find subject/predicate. 
Week Six: (July 11): Identify and use nouns
Week Seven: (July 18): Identify and use verbs
Week Eight: (July 25): Identify and use adjectives
Week Nine: (Aug 1): Identify and use adverbs
Week Ten: (Aug 8): Alphabetical order of words
