1 hour per week. Worksheets or activities/websites will be given as a follow up to each class. Students are encouraged to complete the given material but it is not a requirement. Students are encouraged to upload their homework and/or bring it to the following class so the teacher and their fellow classmates can see their accomplishments.Assessment
Students will be given additional worksheets for independent completion which caregivers can use to assess at home. Caregivers will receive written feedback on the areas of weakness and areas of strength as observed in class by the teacher for their student. Open communication about these strengths and weaknesses will enhance each learner's success with the concepts being taught.Class Experience

Beginner - Intermediate Level
This is an ongoing math class of fourth grade math skills, simplified. This course will touch upon the more difficult concepts that the fourth grade math learner works with. One topic will be covered at each meeting, making it easy for learners to come and go as caregivers see fit...or stay for the entire course!

Week Three: (Mon June 10/Wed June 12) : Divide by whole numbers without remainders
Week Four: (Mon June 17/ Wed June 19): Divide with remainders one digit into three (7/13)
Week Five: (Mon June 24/ Wed June 26): Divide with decimals
Week Six: (Mon July 1/ Wed July 3) : Make equivalent fractions/ Use >,<,= by making equivalent fractions to compare
Week Seven: (Mon July 8/ NO CLASS WED JULY 10) : Add fractions with like and unlike denominators

Students will learn basics of a fourth grade level math curriculum if they are fully participating each week.

Supply List
Students should have a notebook which is brought to each class. They may also choose to use a whiteboard and marker, however, they will not have a record of the things they did in class so this is a decision for each family to make. They should always come prepared with a sharpened pencil and eraser (or writing utensil). Additional supplies will be discussed or suggested for classes where hands-on exploration may be appropriate (such as rulers, measuring cups, hundred chart, etc). Any papers needed for class will be provided before hand.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I always aim to get my students laughing too while accomplishing this. The more we laugh, the more we love what we are doing and I want my students to love learning!
