Calling all theater kids! Are you missing the chance to be in the spotlight? Trying hard to remember the five rules of improv? Want to warm up for the stage by rolling up slowly, one vertebra at a time or be part of an online energy circle? This is your chance to take center stage! For one hour, we'll meet up on the virtual stage and have fun under the Zoom spotlight as we play a variety of theater games that spark creativity, boost confidence, and encourage community and collaboration. We'll review the five rules of improvisation as we twist our tongues and warm up our bodies, play some old familiar theater games as well as new ones, make each other laugh, create characters, and work with scene partners and as an amazing online ensemble. Because each class will have a different ensemble of actors and different games to suit the group, it is a class you are welcome to take more than once. This particular class will have a Halloween theme, so get ready to ghost walk, move through the dark, dark woods like a variety of Halloween creatures, and randomly pick some Halloween-themed improv prompts! Please note: The November class will have a general improv theme. The December class will have a holiday theme.

Teacher expertise and credentials
Pennsylvania Teaching Certificate in Music/Theater/Arts
Ms. Annette has been involved in theater for over 25 years, as an actor, director, instructor, music director, stage manager, and cleaning up the theater when it's all over. In addition to being onstage, she has designed costumes, lights, and wielded power tools to put together and take apart sets. One of her favorite things in the world is to travel to NYC and see as many shows as she can. While she misses "real life" theater, she is excited about the new medium of online theater and loves exploring it with young actors. Ms. Annette currently works as a teaching artist with a variety of schools and non-profits.
