There has always been something wonderful about theatre. It has often been a welcoming place for people who feel like they don’t fit. This class is a place to build a community with other kids who love to act and sing and maybe put on another character for a while. The club will start with a discussion topic or play, and then there will be activities based on that topic. Some days we’ll act, or do improv, other days we’ll write or imagine a different end to a story. I foresee all of those ideas and more, it’ll depend on where the creativity takes us. Oh, and we'll act. ;) The following weekly scripts will be made available in the classroom for class perusal. As of this writing, there are no materials fees. December 30, 2022

In August of 2017, a few friends and I, not finding affordable places for our very performance-minded kids to practice the skills they needed without audition, started a little drama club called Scene & Heard Performing Arts. We have loved every minute of it. The theatre has always been a safe place for me, and the skills it has given me, Acting, Singing, Public Speaking, have all lead me down paths in my life to succeed. Because I have performed in some fashion my whole life, I far more comfortable trying the next thing. I want to share that opportunity with every person that I can.Reviews
