This is a mastery based program. Students will not move forward in their lessons until they have mastered all components of each lesson.

Class Experience

Students who has difficulty decoding texts will be taught using an Orton-Gillingham based method.  This method will help students learn to decode and spell.  Marie trained at Southern Methodist University's graduate program specializing in dyslexia therapy.  She has over 200 hours of teaching experience in teaching dyslexia therapy.  Marie is a Texas certified teacher with 20 years of teaching experience. 

Week one- Phonemic Awareness (breaking sounds apart, Breaking CVC Words)
Week two- Phonemic Awareness (breaking VCC words, Breaking CCV words, working with real words)

Students will need access to a shared Google Drive.  Students will need a touch screen device.  Chromebooks do not work well with this program.

This is a mastery based program.  Students will not move forward in their lessons until they have mastered all components of each lesson.  

To make this class affordable, it is been broken into two week segments.  Every two weeks a new class will be scheduled for the same time.  The price will remain consistent.  

Dyslexic students will need consistent classes for at least a year to see significant and permanent improvement.
