Quick Multiplication Course! (2 Digits X 1 Digit)

This short 1 week class will introduce students in a non-scary way to multiplying 2 digits by 1 digit. It's something we've all had to learn and it can be fun, especially when each right answer is awarded with a Dojo point! Let's go!

Class Experience

🎺Welcome to this quick multiplication course! In this course there will be one video where I go over 3 strategies for multiplying 2 digit numbers by 1 digit numbers. I'll cover what happens when you need to use regrouping and provide a worksheet which use a grid background to help students keep their numbers in the right place.

This course is designed for students in grade 4 or 5 (Canada/America) or anyone who wants to brush up on basic math skills. I encourage all students to watch the video, do the work, and send me their answers! I will also provide Dojo points for each right answer so by doing this course students could receive 18 points in total. These points can be used in my other classes to buy amazing prizes. I believe students should be rewarded for their hard work but ultimately loving to learn is the name of the game. See you in class!

I love math! But I always did bad at it in school. It wasn't until I had a teacher that really understood my learning style that I finally got it. Isn't that the case for most students? Now as I create courses I've gone back and relearned a lot of basic concepts in order to help explain them to other students in an easy and enjoyable way. Ultimately it's not about being a math wizard, but knowing how to play the game and love learning.
