1 hour per week. Assignments will be included with each post, they are the exercises from the book.
Progress Report
Students will receive a progress report as to how they did with the unit once they finish.

Class Experience

This self-paced class will cover the whole of Unit 1 from Reading Explorer 1. Each section will contain a guided video to help students with the exercises. 

Student will learn essential skills like: skimming a paragraph and identifying the main idea and supporting ideas. Students will also learn and use new vocabulary in a wide variety of contexts and provide responses to critical thinking questions. This is a great way for students to get the most out of this amazing textbook and achieve great levels of reading and writing for higher thinking.

1A Warmup and Before You Read
 This lesson goes over a quick warmup about animals and then provides questions on skimming and labeling the passage.

1A Reading Passage
 This simply allows the student to read and listen along to the reading passage in 1A.

Lesson 3:
1A Reading Comprehension
 This lesson goes over the reading passage with comprehension questions. Students will need to categorize information as well.

Lesson 4:
1A Reading Skill - Skimming For Gist
 Students will learn how to skim for gist, or how to find what the passage is mostly about without reading it fully. They will use this skill to answer questions.
