Students will improve their fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, memory, and dexterity while learning to tie their shoes.
I have 5 years of experience as an instructor teaching life skills such as shoe tying.
-Adult shoes with flat shoe laces (Preferred while learning the skill and to strengthen fine motor skills) *The learner's shoe is also an alternative if adult shoes with shoe laces are not available, but may be more difficult to learn. If the shoes and laces are the same color, please try to use different color shoe laces so that the instructor will be able to assess appropriately during class time. Students are required to have their camera on throughout the entire lesson
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Parents will be provided with a small assessment on the child's skill, successes, and recommendations after the course.
45 minutes per class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Parents will be required to pop in (at least twice) or sit in on the lesson to assist their learner or cheer them on throughout the lesson to increase motivation.
