Private Reading & Phonics or Math Class for All Levels of Learners

Learning goals will be customized for the student in order to develop strong phonics and decoding skills, while improving reading fluency, confidence, and comprehension. As needed, Karen's reading class will review Dolch sight words, rule-breaker words, chunking multi-syllable words, picture clues and other comprehension strategies. Basic language arts are covered in the context of learning to read and respond to stories and informational text. Difficulty of text, vocabulary, comprehension questions, and activities will be matched to the student's individual skills and needs. Difficulty of math skills will be matched to the learner's needs.
