Homework
1-2 hours per week. Students are given a song to learn during the week by the teacher. The student should enter the classroom having practiced and learned this song on their own. We will take the class time to work on the song and make it better. A karaoke video with lyrics will be given to the student so we work on the same version of the song.Assessment
The teacher will give specific feedback to the student on things that need to be worked on. The teacher will also focus on giving positive feedback to encourage the student and build their confidence.Class Experience
The student will join Broadway performer and Teacher Billy as he leads him through all of the skills needed to be successful in theatre! This class is only 25 minutes, but intense and filled with lots of homework for your child to complete. Subjects worked on: - Acting - Singing - Vocal health Students will know: - how to take care of their voice so it is healthy. - what to do with your voice when it is sick or tired. - how to properly take care of your body so it is ready to perform. - learn proper vocal techniques, that work! - different dance movements to help the student perform better with their whole body. (this is not a dance technique class) - learn new music each week. ***PLEASE NOTE: Homework will be given and this is extremely important for your child to become successful. Your child will be given: - Exercises - Warmup methods - Songs (picked specifically for them and their voice type) Please, please, please help me make sure your child does their homework so together they can become an OUTSTANDING singer and performer! ---------------------------------

Parental Guidance
Due to this class being a physical dance class, it is important to note that physical injuries, like slipping on the floor or spraining an ankle can occur. It is important to have plenty of room to move around in that is free of any objects that one can slip on.
Please make sure you bring a water bottle to keep yourself hydrated.
