Go to infinity and beyond with Teacher Tori in this fun and interactive galaxy science class! Students will listen to stories about space exploration and discuss story elements and space vocabulary. Then they will participate in engaging activities, crafts and science experiments. From making a replica solar system to galaxy art to creating floating lava in a bottle! Students will learn all about the amazing world outside our atmosphere! Each of the 3 classes: -Teacher Tori will read a space related book with the class, and together with students, identify story elements, and review space vocabulary. -Participate in a space related craft or space related science experiment (please see supply list!) -Students will learn to identify story elements and space vocabulary while they explore the galaxy through literature, art and science. -Students will learn about the planets that make up our solar system and the special features of them. -Students will discuss gravity and how items outside of our atmosphere move. Victoria Johnson “Teacher Tori” has been teaching for 22 years. She is certified to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade as well as English as a second language and students with learning disabilities, K-12. She is a creative and engaging teacher that meets students where they are and encourages them to strive to reach their full potential. She utilizes various learning strategies to make learning fun and captivating. She currently teaches kindergarten. She can’t wait to see you in her virtual classroom! Cameras must be on for the entirety of all of the classes. All learners must be enrolled students; if two learners are sharing a device, both learners must be enrolled per Outschool policies.

Supply List
Material/Supplies: Colored chalk Assorted colors of construction paper Glue Paper plate Star stickers 2 Recycled water bottles with labels removed or 1 glass jelly jar with label removed. 8 oz cooking oil Food coloring of different colors ½ c white vinegar 1/2 c pure baking soda 6-8 ounces water 3 types of paint, 1 ounce each 6-8 cotton balls Plastic spoon Fine glitter any color ( gold and silver work best) Optional glitter spray.
