Have you ever wondered what creates art? What makes art art? Each week we will learn about an element of art or a principle of design, which are the building blocks of art! We will experiment with various art supplies and different techniques as well. There will be learning exercises and a final piece of work in each class. Each week is a stand alone lesson and it is not necessary to complete the prior week. Let's enjoy creating art! This is fabulous class for building your confidence in art skills and making! Throughout class two cameras will be used. One camera will focus on my work area so that students are able to view my artwork as we move through the class. Each step will be explained and shown in detail. While detailed directions are given students are always able to make changes and creative choices! Questions are welcomed as we work. Towards the end of class we will have an optional sharing time. Positive discussion is encouraged. Critique is a valuable step during the art process. Students may better understand their work, relate to others and be inspired! As each week involves a different project with various art materials, a message with specific materials will be posted in the classroom before the class. Class length may vary by a few minutes depending on the materials used.
