In this ongoing class students will explore the elements of art and principles of design, learn about artists and/or cultures while practicing techniques with various mediums.

Beginner - Intermediate Level
Have you ever wondered what creates art? What makes art art? Each week we will learn about an element of art or a principle of design, which are the building blocks of art! We will experiment with various art supplies and different techniques as well. There will be learning exercises and a final piece of work in each class. Learners will take part in the artmaking process. Students will improve their understanding of the elements of art and principles of design. They will also be exposed to various fine art examples, practice techniques and experiment with materials. Learners will experience and/or take part in an art critique.
